Security strategist Andy Mashaile says South Africa plunging 50 places in the global ranking for safety further compromises its prospects of being removed from the Financial Action Task Force grey list.
This follows a report by the Global Safety Index which ranked 166 countries on safety and security.
South Africa is now positioned at 129 out of the 166 countries.
