Carrefour Medical , a healthcare supplier and part of the Cosemad Group , owned by Senegalese healthcare entrepreneur Saliou Mboup, has secured 21 million from the International Finance Corporation IFC to accelerate its domestic production and distribution of medical equipment and consumables.
The funding , primarily in local currency, will underpin a strategic scale-up of Carrefour Medicals operations and mark a major step toward reducing Senegals reliance on imported healthcare products.
