The South African Broadcasting Corporation SABC is set to implement a 4.5 salary increase for non-unionised employees in the 2025/26 financial year. Thats according to SABC Group Executive for Human Resources, Rachel Masuku, who confirmed the adjustment will take effect from 1 November.
Masuku says the public broadcaster met with the Broadcasting, Electronic, Media Allied Workers Union BEMAWU last week to present the same offer, but is still awaiting formal feedback following the unions internal consultations.
She says the organisation remains committed to concluding the process with Bemawu in good faith and will continue to engage constructively to reach finality in relation to the unionised employees.
