Ireland Women's cricket team has arrived in South Africa and have begun training in Cape Town ahead of the start of a six-match white ball tour of South Africa, starting Friday, December 5. Both the sides will play a three-match T20I series followed by as many 50-over games as well.
The two sides last met in a six-match white ball series in Dublin in 2022. Ireland Women last played in South Africa at the ICC Women's T20 World Cup in 2023. Ireland Women have had a successful 2025 to date, having played 22 international matches, winning 15 times. The tour will be used as part of Ireland Women's preparations for next month's ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier event. The tour comes one month after South Africa Women played in the ICC Women's World Cup Final losing to India Women.
