RwandAir plans to expand its fleet from 14 to at least 21 aircraft by 2029 by acquiring new aircraft such A330s for long-haul routes, B737-800s for regional and mid-haul routes, and Bombardier Q400s for domestic routes.
The expansion forms part of the airlines goals of more than doubling passenger numbers to more than 2,1 million by 2028/29.
In an interview with The New Times , Fouad Caunhye , RwandAirs Chief Commercial Officer, outlined the roadmap to achieving 2029 targets through new aircraft, expanded routes, and strategic partnerships.
