Runner Raises Over R30k For Childrens Facial Operations

The Miles for Smiles campaign saw endurance runner Patrick Bowman run 100-kilometres over 15 hours to raise funds for life-changing facial operations for children .

A collaboration in partnership with the Smile Foundation, which works with the countrys academic and childrens hospitals to deliver corrective facial reconstructive surgeries and the runner, exceeded on his initial fundraising target.

Bowmans campaign involved him running a 6.7 kilometre loop on the Sea Point Promenade in Cape Town, a loop which he would run on the hour, every hour.
