The Judicial Conduct Tribunal probing sexual harassment allegations against Eastern Cape Judge President Selby Mbenenge resumes today with a ruling from the Tribunal.
This comes after evidence leader Adv. Salome Scheepers indicated yesterday that she was not ready to close her case and sought to call in a gender expert.
Scheepers argued that it was in the interests of justice for this expert to be called before this landmark probe that delves into power imbalances in the workplace.
Mbenenges counsel objected to this request, charging that it was too late and it would prejudice their client.
The counsel further added that they were ready to proceed and place Mbenenge on the stand to state his version of events.
