Portugal and Al Nassr striker , Cristiano Ronaldo, is edging closer to becoming the first male footballer to score 1,000 career goals.
According to Sky Sports on Wednesday, the 40-year-old forward recently netted twice against Hungary in the World Cup qualifiers, taking his career tally to 948 goals 805 at club level and 143 for Portugal.
Ronaldo also became the all-time top scorer in World Cup qualifying history, overtaking Carlos Ruizs record of 39 goals, while Lionel Messi ranks third with 36.
