The Free State Road Incident Management System RIMS, has issued a flood warning for road users travelling on the N5 over the Sandspruit, past Paul Roux towards Senekal.
Heavy rainfall is expected over the weekend and drivers are advised to exercise extreme caution.
RIMS Chairperson Sipho Towa has advised motorists to avoid driving through flooded areas if possible, reduce speed and increase following distance.
