Electricity Minister Dr Kgosientsho Ramokgopa says technical challenges at the Matimba power station in Lephalale, Limpopo, were responsible for the last two bouts of load shedding.
Ramokgopa is currently visiting the Matimba and Medupi power stations in Limpopo.
The country has not experienced load shedding in over four months.
Ramokgopa also announces the official return of Unit Four at Medupi to the national grid after its explosion in August 2021.
Ramokgopa says the repair work at Medupi showcases the countrys engineering industrys capability to solve complex problems.
