In a decisive statement during a session of the National Council of Provinces NCOP held in Cape Town, President Cyril Ramaphosa reiterated his stance that no member of the National Executive is above the law.
Addressing an array of questions regarding corruption, the president confirmed that credible allegations against cabinet ministers would warrant thorough investigations by the appropriate law enforcement agencies.
If any member of the National Executive is charged with corruption or another serious crime, they will need to vacate their position pending the outcome of any case against them, Ramaphosa stated.
