Eastern Cape Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Cogta MEC Zolile Williams says the disaster relief funding by the national government is not enough to cater for all the damages and losses caused by last months floods.
The province will receive R504 million from national governments R1,2 billion disaster recovery grant to rebuild infrastructure damaged by last months severe floods.
The province was the hardest hit, with roads, homes, and infrastructure destroyed across several districts.
