R20 Million Worth Of Cocaine Found At Midrand Smallholding

A crime intelligence-driven operation has led to the discovery of cocaine worth R20 million at a smallholding in Blue Hills, Midrand.

Police say a multidisciplinary team led by the Crime Intelligence Head Office, together with the Gauteng Organised Crime Unit, SAPS Johannesburg K9, and members of the Local Criminal Record Centre LCRC, conducted the operation on Tuesday evening after receiving information about drugs being stored on the property.

According to a police statement, the drugs were brought into South Africa from a neighbouring country and were destined for Cape Town, Western Cape.
