In a thrilling announcement for theatre enthusiasts across South Africa, Pretty Woman: The Musical is set to make its highly-anticipated debut at the Artscape Theatre in Cape Town on 18 March 2026, followed by a season at Montecasino's Teatro from 24 April 2026.
This beloved classic, made famous by the iconic 1990 film starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere, will not only revisit nostalgic storytelling but also feature captivating music from renowned rock superstar Bryan Adams, along with his longtime songwriting partner Jim Vallance, and the classic title track Oh, Pretty Woman by Roy Orbison.
The lead role of Vivian Ward will be brought to life by the talented Leah Mari. Mari, who first dazzled audiences in her professional debut as the alternate 'Maria' in The Sound of Music 2023/24, has already claimed a Fleur du Cap Theatre Award for Best Performance by a Lead Actress in a Musical for her performance as Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady 2024/25.
