President Salva Kiir Mayardit has received an update from Minister of Information, Communication Technology and Postal Services, Ateny Wek Ateny, on the progress and operational challenges facing his Ministry and its affiliated agencies.
During the meeting, Minister Ateny highlighted the critical issues confronting key institutions under the Ministry, including the South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation SSBC, the National Communication Authority NCA, the Media Authority MA, the Information Commission IC, and the Universal Service Access Fund USAF. These agencies play a central role in managing media, telecommunications, and digital infrastructure across the country.
The discussion focused on identifying potential solutions to strengthen the Ministrys operations and improve service delivery. Minister Ateny emphasized the need to address these challenges to ensure effective communication, information flow, and digital development in South Sudan.
