Arsenal teenage prodigy, Ethan Chidiebere Nwaneri has signed his first professional contract with the London club, committing his future to being a regular at the Emirates, Soccernet.ng reports. The 17-year-old attacking midfielder is highly rated amongst the club hierarchy and is tipped to be the next big star thatll emerge from Arsenals Hale End academy. Born in London, Ethan has Nigerian roots , thanks to his parents, but has been playing for Englands Three Lions from the U-16 stage, and has scored 12 goals in 24 games for the U-17 side since making his debut in 2022. After committing his future to the club, Arsenal academy manager, Per Mertesacker, revealed his delight to continue working with the Nigeria-eligible youngster . "We are extremely proud of Ethan and his journey, from pre-academy to Hale End, then a seamless transition to Sobha Realty Training Centre and then making his first team debut. Ethan's journey now continues, and we will all be there alongside him to support his development, the 2014 FIFA World Cup winner with Germany said in quotes revealed on the clubs official website . The three-time FA Cup winner was full of praise for Nwaneri and has backed him to go all the way to the top of his game whilst donning the Arsenal jersey with pride. "Ethan has a strong ability to master the ball, dominate possession and is effective in the final third, which fits into our playing style at Arsenal Football Club. Mikel Arteta revealed that the senior players prompted him to allow the youngster to show himself since there was nothing to play for.
