Paradigm Confirms 5.9M META Token Purchase
Paradigm, one of the most prominent crypto investment firms, has completed a 5.9 million acquisition of META tokens issued by MetaDAO. The deal was finalised at a price of 7.83 per token.
According to MetaDAO co-founder Proph3t, the transaction used a 24-hour time-weighted average price, or TWAP, to ensure a fair market rate. The TWAP method divides a large trade into smaller intervals over time. It reduces price slippage and helps maintain market stability during execution.
The trade was conducted off-chain through an over-the-counter process. OTC trading enables institutional investors to transact in large amounts without affecting public market prices.
