The Gauteng Portfolio Committee on Community Safety has expressed outrage over allegations that 27 of the 97 South African Police Service SAPS members accused of sexual violence nationally are from the province.
The allegations are in the police watchdog Independent Police Investigative Directorates IPID 2024-2025 report.
The committee says swift action must be taken against those found guilty of misconduct.
