Over 200 suspects have been arrested in the Northern Cape for various crimes , including rape, murder, attempted murder, robbery and drug-related offences.
The suspects were apprehended during the week-long Operation Shanela.
Provincial police spokesperson Cherelle Ehlers says compliance inspections were conducted at numerous liquor premises, farms and scrapyards.
