The South African womens cricket team, the Proteas, have come close to winning a global title over the last few years but just like the mens team, that glory has eluded them.
Something has just been missing. What that exactly is well never know. Perhaps it will all come together in India and Sri Lanka over the coming weeks.
But while the men are in action in the T20 World Cup , the womens side take on Pakistan in South Africa in three T20s this week, starting in Potchefstroom on Tuesday, in what is part of the build-up to the womens T20 World Cup in the UK in June and July.
