OpenAI on Wednesday announced the launch of ChatGPT Health, a new feature that provides users with a dedicated space to discuss health and wellness-related topics with its AI chatbot.
The company said more than 230 million users already ask health-related questions on ChatGPT each week. The new Health section separates these conversations from general chats, ensuring that personal medical context does not carry over into unrelated interactions.
If users initiate health-related discussions outside the Health section, ChatGPT will prompt them to switch to the dedicated interface. Within Health, the AI can reference relevant context from a user's broader activity, such as fitness goals or prior discussions, where appropriate.
