Miss Universe Nigeria 2025, Onyinyechi Basil, has declared that her participation in the global Miss Universe competition was never just about winning a crown but also about representing Nigeria with authenticity, courage, and purpose.
Speaking at her official welcome-back reception held recently at Silverbird Galleria, Lagos, Basil reflected on her experience in Thailand, describing it as a transformative journey that deepened her confidence and commitment to national advocacy.
"I realised just how confident I am," she told guests. "It takes courage to represent not just your country, but yourself, on a global stage and to do so with authenticity."
