Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem have officially announced the signing of Egyptian midfielder Mostafa Ashraf on a free transfer.

The 21-year-old has signed a two-year deal with Vitesse Arnhem that runs until 2027, with an option for an additional season.
Mostafa Ashraf joins Vitesse after his contract expired with Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach, where he spent over a decade rising through the youth ranks since 2013. He featured for the German club's second team in the over the past two seasons and has represented both Germany and Egypt at youth international level.
Vitesse Arnhem confirmed that Ashraf had impressed during a trial period last season, starting in a 4-4 friendly draw against Wuppertaler SV. His technical ability and attacking qualities convinced the coaching staff to bring him on board as the club's second signing of the summer transfer window.
"I'm very happy to be here," said Ashraf. "My trial went really well last season, so it feels even better now to officially sign. I'm really looking forward to meeting the fans and starting this new chapter."
