Super Eagles and Bayer 04 Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface has joined Bundesliga side Werder Bremen on a season-long loan,
The 24-year-old was deemed surplus to requirements by Erik Ten Hag , and opted for a move away from the Bay Arena, but an attempt fell through in Milan as issues in his right knee made the Italians refrain from signing Boniface .
In an ironic turn of events, L everkusen fired Ten Hag after just three games in charge , and whilst that has sparked mixed reactions, many expected Boniface to be one of the beneficiaries of the decision made by the Bayer hierarchy.
