The National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa Numsa says as the year draws to an end, they realize that 2026 will not be an easy year as they approach the 12th national congress.
Union Spokesperson Phakamile Hlubi-Majola says in 2025 they demonstrated the capacity to lead, defend and advance the interests of workers under extremely hostile conditions.
She says they had to deal with an economy that is bleeding jobs.
