KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thami Ntuli has told relatives of seven Newark family members who were kidnapped and murdered, that his office will do all it can to ensure that the accused get harsh sentences.

He visited the family of businessman Allan Monswamy to convey condolences from himself as well as President Cyril Ramaphosa.

Monswamy, his wife and children, as well as three other relatives living with them were kidnapped during a break-in on Tuesday night. Money was transferred out of their accounts after they were forced to give the banking pins before being killed.
