The National Prosecuting Authority NPA will on Friday enrol the reopening of the inquest into the death of anti-Apartheid activist and Black Consciousness Movement founder and leader, Steve Biko .
Biko died 48 years ago on the 12th of September 1977 after he was allegedly tortured by the then apartheid regime.
A formal inquest was held in November 1977 which found that that Biko allegedly sustained the injuries during a scuffle with the Special Branch SB members.
