The Department of Public Safety and Transport Management in the North West says the number of road fatalities has been reduced by 21, compared to the same period last year.
The department says routes such as N4, N12, N14, N18, R30, R49, R503 and R556 remain problematic.
This was reported during the Safer Festive Season Operation held in Vryburg. The department further says the leading district in road crashes is Ngaka Modiri Molema, followed by Dr Kenneth Kaunda while Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati recorded fewer incidents.
