Arsenal 's summer signing Christian Norgaard has revealed that his debut appearance at the Emirate stadium was electrifying, Softfootball reports.
Christian Nrgaard says it "felt right" to finally walk out at the Emirates as an Arsenal player and not the opposition after scoring on his home debut in the Gunners' penultimate pre-season fixture.
Although Arsenal lost in the encounter, Norgaard had some respite after scoring the Gunners' first goal during the club's 2-3 defeat to Villarreal that was captured by Softfootball on Wednesday night.
The Danish midfielder, a summer arrival from Brentford, pulled one back with a powerful header from a Gabriel Martinelli corner, marking his first appearance in red and white on home turf with a goal. But speaking after the final whistle, the 30-year-old admitted the moment was slightly bittersweet.
