The National Information Technology Development Agency NITDA has renewed and deepened its collaboration with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research UNITAR to accelerate digital capacity building and skills development across Nigeria.

During a meeting with the UNITAR delegation in Abuja, NITDA's Director General, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, reaffirmed the agency's commitment to equipping Nigerians with globally competitive digital skills in line with its Strategic Roadmap and Action Plan SRAP 2.0.

Abdullahi noted that partnerships with global institutions such as UNITAR are crucial to developing a resilient and future-ready digital workforce. He cited NITDA's ongoing initiatives - including the Digital Literacy for All DL4ALL project, the Digital Transformation Technical Working Groups DTTWGs, and the Talent Hunt Programme - as part of the agency's comprehensive strategy to strengthen Nigeria's human capital base and promote innovation-driven growth.
