Kano State is set to see a significant boost in its digital infrastructure following a new collaboration between the Kano State Information Technology Development Agency KASITDA and Wave5 Wireless Limited . This partnership aims to bridge the internet access gap in the state and is projected to bring substantial economic growth.

The initiative, announced by KASITDA, is expected to benefit 3 million internet users, create 8,000 jobs, and support 15,000 businesses. The partnership was solidified during a meeting between KASITDAs Director General, Dr. Bashir Abdu Muzakkari, and Wave5 CEO, Mr. Ayowande Adalemo, where they discussed collaborative solutions to expand internet access.

Following the discussion, Mr. Adalemo was introduced to the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Farouk Ibrahim, who expressed full support for the project. The Secretary highlighted the potential for digital growth and investment in Kano, signaling the states strong commitment to the initiative.

This strategic collaboration is being hailed as a major step forward for Kanos digital future.
