The Federal Government has launched the full-scale rollout of its 1Government Cloud 1Gov Digitalisation Project, a sovereign digital platform designed to usher in paperless governance across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies MDAs.
The project, implemented by Galaxy Backbone Limited under the Sovereign Digitalisation Programme, is being piloted in key ministries, including Communications, Solid Minerals, Steel Development, Justice, Foreign Affairs, and the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria.
The 1Gov Cloud will consolidate secure digital tools such as GovDrive for file management, GovECMS for automated workflows, GovMail for official communications, and GovE-Sign for electronic approvals. It will also support encrypted video conferencing, one-time password authentication, and a centralised asset management system.
