Nigerias Health Ministry says 15 of Gross Domestic Product GDP should be allocated to the health sector in the low and middle-income countries, especially in Africa.
The ministrys Director- General of the National Agency for the Control of Aids Dr Ilori Temitope says Nigeria is facing health challenges such as malaria, TB and HIV.
Representing Nigerias Health Ministry at the G20 Health Ministers Meeting under way in Polokwane, Limpopo, Temitope says, "I believe all African countries should prioritise health, they should be increase in podiatric allocation to health in accordance with the Abuja declaration, at least 15 of the GDP should be allocated to health."
