The issue of Nigerian players not receiving bonuses relating to their participation in Africa Cup of Nation AFCON matches has been resolved, according to the countrys minister of state finance, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite.

The Super Eagles reportedly boycotted training on Wednesday over unpaid bonuses, raising fresh concerns about player welfare and administration within the Nigeria Football Federation ahead of their fixture against Algeria in Marrakech, Morocco on Saturday.

Local media reports on Wednesday suggested that Nigerias players and coaching staff were waiting on bonus payments promised to them by the Nigerian Football Federation, with the team having won all four of their group stage AFCON matches so far, against Tanzania, Tunisia and Uganda, as well as their last-16 tie against Mozambique.
