South African Police Service SAPS KwaZulu-Natal KZN Provincial Commissioner, Lt-Gen Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, refused to take back the 121 Political Killings Task Team case dockets that had earlier been withdrawn to SAPS headquarters.
SAPS Deputy National Commissioner for Crime Detection, Lt-Gen Shadrack Sibiya, makes this claim in court papers challenging National Commissioner General Fannie Masemolas stay at home order and suspension against him.
The Pretoria high court heard the matter on Wednesday 3 September. Sibiyas lawyer, advocate Kameel Premhid , made the revelation after judges questioned him about what happened to the dockets.
