The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has clarified that it has not yet received a response from FIFA regarding its challenge to the eligibility of certain players from the Democratic Republic of Congo, who participated in the 2026 World Cup African play-off against the Super Eagles some weeks ago.
NFF, however, categorically stated that the situation is still under consideration.
This statement comes in response to media claims that FIFA had dismissed Nigeria's appeal following the Super Eagles' defeat to DR Congo in the play-off final.
