Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe has admitted that this weekend's clash with Nottingham Forest could be a turning point in their Premier League campaign. The Magpies, sitting uncomfortably in 15th place, welcome Ange Postecoglou's Forest side to St. James' Park on Saturday, desperate to carry their midweek European momentum back into domestic action.
On Wednesday night, Newcastle hammered Union Saint-Gilloise 4-0 in Brussels with those goals from Nick Woltemade, Harvey Barnes and a brace from Anthony Gordon sealing their biggest ever Champions League victory. It was a sharp response to the disappointment of their previous league outing against Arsenal , and Howe couldn't hide his delight:
Although Nottingham Forest lost to Midtjylland in their last European outing , Howe knows they will be no pushovers. He praised Postecoglou's possession-based style and warned about their fluid attack.
