Former Ekurhuleni Employee Relations Director Xolani Nciza says that the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality Police Department EMPDs HR HOD, Linda Gxasheka was reluctant to initiate suspension proceedings against EMPD deputy chief Julius Mkhwanazi.
This was over allegations that he fitted state blue lights in private vehicles belonging to controversial businessman, Vusimuzi Cat Matlala.
Nciza, who is testifying before the Commission, says he was informed about the blue lights allegations against Mkhwanazi in February 2023.
