Fovu picked up their first win in two playoffs matches against an Avion side that made it consecutive defeats Nana Wilfried scored a brace to take his tally in the competition to three goals in two games Fovu counts four points after the game while Avion is pointless Fovu of Baham defeated 10-man Avion Academy of Douala by the odd goal in five on Wednesday in match day two of the 2023/24 MTN Elite One championship playoffs at the Olembe Annex stadium. A brace from Wilfried Nana and plus a second-half strike from Arsene Feumou and reduced impact of goals in either half from Joseph Nanga and Marie Jules Meyo in the game Avion finished with ten men due to the dismissal of Ndi Eteme after 38 minutes. Fovu kept the narrow advantage till the pause, but there was more to come from the game. Avion equalized eight minutes upon resumption via Meyo who slizzed open the Fovu defense to restore parity. Just when Avion were hoping to get something from the game, Arsene Feumou won it with a 66 minutes strike that condemned Avion to a second defeat.
