The Community Safety, Security and Liaison Department in Mpumalanga has sent condolences to the family of the South African National Defense Force SANDF member who lost his life when the vehicle they were traveling in was swept away in Nkomazi River , Komatipoort.
One body was retrieved on Friday. Operations are underway to find the other missing member.
MEC Jackie Macie says they are heartbroken to lose one of their own in this way.
