Motorists could be in for some relief at the pumps in January, supported by a stronger rand and a weaker oil price.

According to the latest data from the Central Energy Fund, both grades of petrol are set to decrease by between 49 cents and 54 cents per litre.

Diesel users are likely to benefit the most, with a decrease between R1.26 and R1.38 cents per litre.
