In a major move for the North African tech landscape, Morocco has officially launched the Startup Venture Building Startup VB program. The official ceremony, held in Rabat in mid-December 2025, was presided over by the Minister Delegate in charge of Digital Transition, Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, and the General Manager of TAMWILCOM, Said Jabrani. This initiative is a cornerstone of the Digital Morocco 2030 national strategy, aiming to transform the country into a premier regional hub for digital innovation.
The program is backed by a substantial budget of over 700 million dirhams approximately 76 million and is designed to support more than 800 startups over the next three years. It offers a continuum of support that follows an entrepreneurs journey from the initial prototype to global acceleration. Key financial tools introduced include an incubation grant of up to 200,000 dirhams, interest-free honor loans of 500,000 dirhams, and seed loans that can reach 2 million dirhams for scaling businesses.
To ensure high-level coaching and market access, the Ministry signed operational contracts with six elite support structures. These include local leaders CEED Maroc and Technopark, alongside four international giants: 500 Global USA, Flat6Labs Egypt, Open Startup International, and Renew Capital. This mix of local insight and global networks is intended to help Moroccan startups secure international fundraising and expand into foreign markets.
