Morocco And Philippines Strengthen Ties In E-governance And Digital Transformation

Ms. Amal Al-Falah Al-Sagroshny, Morocco's Minister-Designate for Digital Transformation and Administration Reform, hosted David Almerol, Secretary of State for Electronic Management of the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology of the Philippines, along with an official delegation, at the ministry's headquarters in Rabat on November 19, 2025. The visit was organized in coordination with Morocco's National Commission for the Protection of Personal Data and forms part of ongoing bilateral cooperation in e-governance and digital transformation.

During the meeting, Minister Al-Sagroshny reviewed Morocco's National Strategic plan, Digital Morocco 2030, highlighting the country's progress in artificial intelligence and the development of the Jazari Centres of Excellence. She emphasized the importance of a data-driven approach and innovation to create tangible benefits for citizens.

Secretary Almerol presented the Philippines' approach to digital governance, which focuses on rapid implementation and the unification of resources to bring public services closer to citizens and enhance their efficiency.
