The uMkhonto weSizwe Party MKP says the office of National Assembly Speaker Thoko Didiza has confirmed receipt of their request for a motion of no confidence against President Cyril Ramaphosa.

Didiza is said to be considering the request as this is latest submission but not the first.

Since 2019, there have been numerous calls by political parties for Ramaphosa to resign. Reasons cited for this range from the Phala Phala saga, to the countrys battle with load shedding.

On Wednesday, the MKP formalised its lack of confidence in the President, by submitting a motion to Didiza.

MKP Chief Whip Colleen Makhubele gave reasons for this motion.
