The uMkhonto weSizwe Party MKP has warned that if President Cyril Ramaphosa doesnt resign by the end of today, it will approach the Constitutional Court.
The partys spokesperson Nhlamulo Ndhlela says that Ramaphosa violated a section of the constitution when he appointed Professor Firoz Cachalia as acting Police Minister in place of Senzo Mchunu who has been placed on special leave.
Gwede Mantashe will act until Cachalia takes over on the first of next month.
Ndhlela was speaking during the partys march from Church Square to the Union Buildings in Pretoria in support of KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi.
