Mixx Plans Rapid Growth After Securing New Capital

Mixx Technologies has secured 33 million in fresh funding. The deeptech startup builds optical interconnect systems for artificial intelligence and high-performance computing. Its mission is simple. It wants to move data faster between GPUs. It also wants to cut energy waste inside AI data centres.

The Singapore-based ICM HPQC Fund led the round. Other participants include TDK Ventures, SystemIQ Capital and AVITIC Innovation Fund. The new capital gives Mixx the room it needs to scale its hardware platform. It also positions the company to grow across the US, India and Asia.

Mixx is headquartered in California. The company launched in 2023. Vivek Raghuraman and Rebecca K Schaevitz founded it. They started the company to build optical links that carry data with light instead of copper. The demand rises every month as AI models grow. Data centres now operate near their limits. Many consume gigawatts of power. Raghuraman said the bottleneck is clear. GPUs cannot talk to each other fast enough. Mixx wants to solve this core problem.
