A suspect linked to a violent stabbing spree in Milnerton has appeared in the Cape Town Magistrates Court following a series of attacks that left two individuals critically injured.
The incidents occurred on April 23, 2025, beginning outside the Cash Crusaders store in Milnerton, where a woman was attacked. The assailant then proceeded to Koeberg Road, stabbing a male victim who managed to escape and report the incident at the Milnerton police station. Subsequently, another male victim was attacked on Bosmansdam Road. Police responded promptly, leading to the suspects arrest near the Milnerton SAPS premises.
The female victim has been identified as the wife of James Jonker, a former member of the Milnerton Crime Watch Trust MCWT. Both she and the male victim remain in critical condition. The MCWT has urged any witnesses who have not yet provided statements to contact the Milnerton SAPS.
The suspect faces charges including attempted murder, assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and possession of a dangerous weapon. The motive behind the attacks remains unclear.
