Former Egyptian striker Ahmed Hossam Mido has officially joined Cypriot side Enosis Neon Paralimniou as a strategic advisor for scouting and recruitment.

The agreement, first reported by Cypriot outlet Kerkida.net , and later confirmed during the club's General Assembly, will see Mido and his network of collaborators recommend players to the coaching staff and technical director, who will retain final say over signings.

Enosis Neon Paralimniou's board described the partnership as one that "is expected to bring multiple benefits" both to the team and the wider Paralimni region.

Currently serving in the planning committee at Egyptian club Zamalek, Mido brings vast experience and networks from a high-profile playing career that spanned clubs like Ajax, Marseille, Roma, Tottenham, and West Ham.

His role at the Cyprus-based club marks a new chapter in his post-playing career, two years after his last experience as manager of Egyptian Premier League club Ismaily .

However, Mido's upcoming experience will focus on identifying young talent and supporting ENP's sporting ambitions in close coordination with manager Damir Canadi and sporting director Kosmas.

Enosis Neon Paralimniou's expressed excitement about the collaboration.
