Orlando Pirates have confirmed that a deal has been finalised for the transfer of Mbekezeli Mbokazi to Major League Soccer side Chicago Fire.
The 20-year-old centre-back enjoyed a breakout season with the Buccaneers in 2024-25 after being promoted from their Diski team in October 2024, making 12 starts and one appearance as a substitute in the Betway Premiership.
Mbokazi was handed the captains armband for the new campaign and won his first trophy after helping Abdeslam Ouaddous side to a historic fourth consecutive MTN 8 title.
