ANC Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula says Police Minister Senzo Mchunu, who has been placed on a leave of absence by President Cyril Ramaphosa , has not yet met with the partys integrity committee.
Mbalulas comments come amid media reports that Mchunu has already presented himself to the commission.
Mchunu was placed on a leave of absence by President Ramaphosa on Sunday following allegations levelled against him by KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, linking him with notorious criminals who have infiltrated the justice system.
Mbalula was speaking at a media briefing at Luthuli House in Johannesburg today.
There has not been any interaction between Comrade Senzo and the Integrity Commission. However, such an interaction will happen as it is required by the ANC Integrity Commission and the guidelines and the terms of reference of the integrity commission.
